In this workshop, we will build confidence and knowledge of color and weaving. At our looms, we will follow a guided set of color explorations to open new windows on color. As we weave different weave structures and different colors, we will be able to study a wealth of color interactions. As we progress, we will also examine the emotional and expressive side of color use. On both days we will examine our results to make new color discoveries. This workshop makes color fun and expressive. Participants will work on looms dressed prior to the workshop.

Sarah Saulson has been weaving since childhood. She attended Wellesley College and the Syracuse University School of Art. For many years she had a production weaving business, selling her hand-dyed, handwoven fashion accessories throughout the Northeast. She has been an active teacher to guilds and conferences for many years, and taught weaving and textiles in the School of Art and Design at Syracuse University.
